Hablando de tiendas recién abiertas es un placer poder comunicaros que La Condesa ya ha llegado físicamente a Burgos de la mano de Sara Serna y su preciosa y recién estrenada boutique Bohemian&Chic.
Speaking of brand new stores, it is my pleasure to announce that La Condesa has arrived to Burgos by the hand of Sara Serna and her beautiful new store Bohemian&Chic.

Estando las cosas como están es una maravilla encontrarte con gente que decide duplicar su carga de trabajo diaria con tal de cumplir un sueño y embarcarse en una aventura nueva como es el caso de Sara.
In times like this, it's wonderful to find people that duplicates her daily workload in order to achieve a dream and to get on board in a new adventure like Sara does.

Me gusta mucho encontrarme en este negocio a gente que viene de otros sectores porque no tienen vicios aprendidos, ni tonterías en la cabeza y lo que quieren es trabajar, trabajar y trabajar. Eso es algo fundamental cuando empiezas a trabajar con alguien en este sector, que comparta la visión de que éste es un negocio que hay que sacar adelante con mucho empeño y que no se crean unas visionarias de la moda o las gurús del estilo que te encuentras en algunas tiendas ya consagradas. Últimamente no paro de hablar con gente de la sensación de "perdona vidas" con las que te reciben en muchas multimarcas de renombre y lo completamente equivocados que estamos con esa actitud en España, señores que vengo a gastarme el dinero, aprendamos de la experiencia de compra en EE.UU y háganme la pelota de forma discreta. Como dice mi amigo Manu, "hay mucha tendera que se cree modelo en este país".

I really like it when I find people in this business that comes from other fields. They usually don't have learned vices or popcorn in their heads; they just want to work, work, and work some more. That is fundamental when people start to work together in this field; to share the same vision: it's a business that needs development and effort, not like other people who believe that they are fashion gurus just because they work for the well-known stores. Lately, I have been running into people from renamed multibrand stores that treat the costumers with the "I forgive you" feeling. It's completely wrong to have that kind of attitude here in Spain; Ladies and Gentlemen, I go to the stores to spend money. We have to learn from USA on this; the shopping experience of "I suck up to the client discreetly". Like my friend Manu says "there are a lot of models wannabe in this country".

Por suerte nada de esto os lo encontraréis en Bohemian&Chic, Sara es una persona absolutamente encantadora que se desvivirá porque estéis a gusto en su tienda y con la que espero trabajar durante muchos años. Así que amigos de Burgos y alrededores, ya podéis ir a probaros chaquetas de La Condesa en directo a la calle Sombrerería nº27.

Hace más de un año me regalaron un pulsera Fiji de Mónica Vinader, lo que parecía un inocente detalle acabó convirtiéndose en una especia de tradición o distintivo familiar. Desde mi madre, hasta mis hermanas, pasando por amigos, allegados y convecinos, hombres y mujeres por igual, han acabado con su correspondiente Fiji colgando de la muñeca. Un diseño aparentemente sencillo pero que precisamente por eso a todo el mundo encanta.

More than a year ago, I got a bracelet Fiji from Monica Vinader as a gift. What it looked like an innocent detail, it turned out to be a tradition and a family symbol. My mother, my sisters, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, men and women; all of them ended up with a Fiji bracelet in their wrists. An apparently simple design, but that is the reason why everybody love it.

Oorrfff, vivir con un fanático de Michael Jackson tiene sus contras y es que hay canciones que ya, ya, ya de verdad NO puedo escuchar más veces. En cualquier caso el título de la canción me viene bien para hablaros de gente cuyo trabajo voy conociendo y me parece como mínimo admirable, se dedican a curar el mundo. No son médicos ni enfermeras, son artistas.

Nonetheless, the song's title is right to introduce you to people whose work I started to get to know and is not less that admiring. Their job is to heal the world. They aren't doctors or nurses, they are artists.

JR is worldly famous because of his personal contribution to the art of graffitis, covering walls of unexpected places with his huge printed pictures in black and white. His most famous works are located in the Brazilian favelas and the Wall of Cisjordania. I'm pretty sure that what I'm going to say is an unforgettable ofense but, his work reminds me of Banksy.

The next martian I don't know whose work is from. I found it in Barcelona a month ago, and reminded me of the ones I saw at the Parisian Marais.

Te veo en Dior, el día 8 a las 8.

Ayer en Dior presentaron la nueva colección de relojes llamados VIII en honor al número de la suerte de Monsieur Dior. Un día 8 creó su colección de alta costura, los talleresy y oficinas se encuentras en el barrio número 8 de París, la silueta que le hizo famoso tiene forma de 8...en fin. Bendita obsesión.

Yesterday Dior presented his new watch collection called VIII honoring Mr. Dior's lucky number. His couture collection was created on a 8th, his ateliers and offices are located in the 8th neighborhood in Paris, the silhouette that made him famous has the shape of an 8, anyways, bless that obsession.

A mi se me desviaba un poco la vista hacia los impresionantes complementos, entre los que destacaban los zapatos de plumas de la colección de verano. ¿Qué puedo decir? Te echo de menos John. Ya sé que en estos momentos lo propio es repudiarle pero a mi me da mucha pena la gente que tiene un mal beber. Porque estoy convencida de que ha sido eso. ¿Que hay que repudiar y golpear en la boca con un calcetín sucio lleno de tomatitos cherry a los que aman al innombrable? ¡Obvio! ¡A por ellos! ¿Que un día bebes para olvidar y te toca una china impertinente enfrente y te llevan los demonios pero vas tan ciego que no ves la cámara con la que te graba? Aquellos que crean que están libres de pecado, antes de tirar la primera piedra, que recuerden la última cena navideña de empresa, a ver qué tal.

My eyesight got distracted by the impressive complements; especially the feather shoes from the Summer Collection. What can I say? I miss you John. Right now it seems like the only possible oppinion is to repudiate him, but I feel sad for the people that has a bad drinking behavior. I'm convinced that is what happened. That we have to condemn and hit in the face with a dirty sock full of cherry tomatoes those who still love the unspeakable one: Of course! Let's go after them! That one day while you are drinking to drawn yourself in sorrow, you come across an uncalled-for chinese person, act devilish and you are so drunk that don't even see the camera recording you: could happen to loads of us. Those who believe are out of sins, before throwing the first stone, just remember your last Christmas dinner with your colleagues.
